Looks like we need to replace the engine in my father's 1992 E-250 Van [4.9L 300cid L6 MFI (Y) ]. It appears that he blew a rod right out of his oilpan! Looking online it seems that there are interchange numbers for replacement engines. Can someone please help me with what the interchange number is for this van, or how I can go about finding it?
Also, any advice on the best places to look for the engine would be appreciated.
