Exclamation 1993 taurus wont start!!

ok i have a 1993 ford Taurus v6 3.8L. I got it for free so i cant complain much but the damn thing never wants to start.

It worked fine for a bit then it started not starting after i had driven it for a bit then turned it off. We messed around with it and thought it was the distributor because all we had to really do is mess with that and it would start. We replaced that but it still would not start after driving it for a bit. So then we checked to see if it was getting spark and it wasn't. We checked the coil and that wasn't sparking but it was getting power. We replaced that just to be sure. Still it would not start!.....we did some research and thought it might be the ignition control module, so we replaced that to. Again it would not work! But now the check engine light would come on and the car would cut out while i tried to start it and when i was driving it, to fix that i put more that 1/4 of gas in it. That fixed that problem for a day or two then when i would start it this buzzing sound was coming from the computer. So we replaced that! Whats wrong with it now you may ask!? Well let me tell you...When i turn the key to the ON position the check engine light does NOT come on. Some times it does but most of the time it doesn't. When it does come on i hear the fuel pump turn on and it starts fine! BUT when it does not turn on the fuel pump does NOT turn on and it wont start. At first to get it to start all I had to do was tap on the ignition control module and it would start. But not anymore.....some times if i play around with some wires it might work, or tap on it still, but more then often I let it start when it wants to. We redid many grounds but still it didn't fix it.

Does anyone have the same issue? or does anyone know what might be the problem?

Simply put the problem is- When key is turned to ON position CHECK ENGINE LIGHT does NOT come ON and the FUEL PUMP will not turn ON as well.

Thanks for the help!

haha. I thought we had another guy on the forum whos name was fordsucks... But when I go to this guys posts... the only ones hes had are today..
So I guess someone else is running around this forum with a similar name..
I told him to get lost.

maybe thats why he hasn't posted anything for a while.

and for the future: Dont make your display name on any forum anything that has to do with how the forum vehicle sucks.

You may get more responses to your problem if your name wasn't Fordsucks...

good luck.

Torch,
I am pretty sure that we did, have another forum member named "fordsucks" and he was removed from the forum along with his username and posts.

This guy has a problem... whenever his fuel pump doesn't work... his engine won't start. I think I'd have the same problem, except that my fuel pump always works, so I haven't been able to test that theory.

Well i am sorry for making my name "Fordsucks" but after having to deal with my car and having problems with fords in the past personally i think they do.

Well because of my name you guys posted so i guess that it helps rather than deterring people from posting like you said.

Thanks so far with the limited response to my problem.
We have reconnected many bad grounds but there still may be some that need to be fixed and I will continue to find and repair them.

Where is the location of the PCM?
I will try that next.

Thanks

ok, personal opinion, I respect that.

PCM location- Drop down the glove box. It sits above the A/C box and sticks through the firewall. The connector is in the engine compartment.

Read this!
"... the car would cut out while i tried to start it and when i was driving it, to fix that i put more that 1/4 of gas in it. That fixed that problem for a day or two "

This is funny!

So his engine would cut out, and to fix that he put gas in the tank, and it worked for a couple of days!... I am literally ROTFL

So I guess his car doesn't run without gas either! Man he has a lot of problems!

Later his computer made noises, so he replaced it, but today he wants to know the location of the PCM!? this must be a joke!

Hey hey hey.. good one !

If its not a joke, maybe he'll smarten up and get a more respectful screen name.
