Default PCM Power Diode

Hello to the group, I am a new member. I have a 1999 Explorer and would like to know if I can clear an error by removing and putting back the PCM diode in the fuse box. Any help on this is appreciated. I have cleared codes before by disconnecting the battery, but it is a hassle to reprogram my radio so I was wondering if the diode would work.

Thank You
