Angry 1991 Ford bronco XLT big problem.

okay so. Ive got a 1991 ford bronco XLT with a 5.8L automatic in it. So i was running the truck at highrevs trying to get up a hill. and something started leaking. It came from the trany area but i didn;t think to jump out of the truck and check the exact location. Today i started it up and it ran fine but then the revs went from around 1000RPM to about 3000RMP and i was looking under the hood i heard the noise change, freaked out and jumped inside the truck and shut it off. I Was about to check the tranny fluid levels but i didn't get the chance to. I tried to restart it and now it turns over but will not start. I was looking under the hood and there is a greenish coloured liquid all over the place. Its the same colour as my coolant but my coolant is still full. so I have no idea what is going on. Any sugestions will be greatly apreciated.
