Engine & DrivetrainEngines and Drivetrains can be a major problem for a lot of vehicles. If you are having engine or drivetrain problems, you can post your questions/concerns about the issue. Furthermore, if you are in the process of doing an engine rebuild, post your progress with pictures.
I just bought a 89 probe 2.2 non turbo. The previous owner said his son was driving it down the road and it just died on them.
Things tried:
fuel pump
fuel filter
spark plugs
spark plug wires
distributor
coil checked
cleaned the fuel rail, injectors, and throttle
I looked for the fuel reset but could not find it.
I have seen posts where they replace wires with a gm part, the post was good but it didn't show any pictures which is leaving me lost.
There is another post where you pull the tank and replace a 50 part.
There is a computer on the dash but I don't know how to use it.
So if you have a picture of the gm part swap it would be nice, other then that I need some help.
Any other questions I need to answer to help I will be.
