Default 94 Ford Ranger Hesitation / Loss of Power

Can anyone help? '94 Ranger with 137,000mi on it had been running great but recently developed a serious coolant leak at the rear of the engine. This leak was due to a deteriorated gasket at the rear part of the lower intake manifold gasket. Replaced lower and upper intake manifold gaskets and both valve cover gaskets. Also, I carefully marked all electrical & vacuum hoses with paint marker so everything is connected properly. Also, I don't hear any vacuum leaks.

The coolant leak is fixed, however now the truck hesitates on acceleration after it warms up with infrequent/intermittent periods of running well. And the engine feels rough at idle when it is running poorly.

It runs fine when first starts up for 5 minutes or so. Then it almost feels like not all cylinders are firing. If I turn off the engine and immediately turn it back on it ALWAYS runs fine for about a minute or so. Also, I drove it 50 miles today and it would intermittently run well then run poorly (more poorly than well). Also, if I press accelerator to floor the truck seems to start to run better.

All cylinders have spark when engine is cold (but can't test this when hot without burning hands)

No trouble/error codes.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Robert
