bump starting it i have not tried. im not sure how ic an get the car rolling fast enough to jump in pop the clutch and try to start it. there is literally nothing i can roll it down anywhere near it, mainly flat roads, and the roads are old asphalt. Plus my shoulder is bruised and feet cut pretty bad from having to push the thing alone so far while the asphalt was so wet, my shoes would not grip i had to remove them. Oh yea i was moving this car by myself while other people stood in their yard 10 feet away and watched and never offered to lend a hand (HURRAY FOR GOOD NATURED PEOPLE! ><). Anyways ill see if i can get a hand to roll this baby around and try and bump it.

OUCH!! That blows and yeah I hear ya on folks now a days. You would not have to get the car rolling too fast. You can do it in reverse also if you have enough distance in your driveway. I have a 99 cobra and they found a loose ground on my car that caused mine not to start. Just check the ground from the starter to the battery. Also you can take your starter off and take it to autozone or advance and they will test it for free. If you are able to bump it off then i would have to point at the starter.

Did you read post #6?

Try that cause I bet it is hydrolocked. The longer you leave the water in there the more damage is done.

yea i have pulled all of the spark plugs out and attempted to start it and i get the same click. i think i might just need to get it towed and have my bank account fall victim to a local mechanic shop. i really dont want to do that and i am VERY MUCH hoping its just the starter or something rather than my engine is hydrolocked and full of water =/.

i have insurance yes, i believe its full coverage. i just got a tip to take a wratchet or another tool and physically try to manually turn the crank with it to determine if the engine is still good or not. so i will be out at my car in about 3 hours or so trying that out and hoping that the crank turns. everything else has been checked really other than each individual wire running through the whole engine. so if that crank turns it would be electrical, if not then i need a new engine =O. any other advice or things to check before i head out there in a few hours would be great so i dont have to make several trips back and forth.

File a claim with your insurance company then. Explain you were driving and a car splashed water on your car all over and it quit and died.

Well i have filed an insurance claim, i guess they are sending someone to look at my car and then towing it to the mechanics of my choice. now i guess i just hope for the best and hope they will pay for all of the damages. i have full coverage and all that good stuff but i am slightly worried that they might just say that its totaled... for everyone that gave me all those great ideas i must say thank you very much i checked pretty much everything i was told to on here and slowly eliminated certain problems 1 by 1 until i reached the point of just letting a mechanic look at it now lol.

Take it to a Ford Garage if the insurance will be footing the bill, might as well have an expert work on it than Bills OK service.

I wish you luck and please post your results and pictures if you can.
