I have a 1986 Ford Econoline 150 with a 4.9, and a 3 speed w/Overdrive. I need a speedometer gear the one that goes on the cable. Im having a problem finding what transmission i have. It looks like a top loader, but im pretty sure its not. The code on the door is is Trans type: B. If any one has info to help me i would appreciate it. thank you.

just go to your ford dealer, they can get the gear in a day or two. They are about $5
sometimes it isn't worth the aggrevation shopping around.

when did they switch to the AOD? i was always told the trucks and vans got them before the car lines due to how tough they were. the could explain the overdrive...
