Default Transmisson leak 99 Taraus

I have a 99 Taraus and the transmission has started to leak. When it first started leaking I tried some transmission seal additive stuff which didn't work. The leak is occuring on the driver side near the front between the radiator and the tranny. I was curious if I'm going to need to get new seal or what? Any help or advice would be greatly apperciated...Thanks and have a great day
