If the VIN on the car is a 2bbl engine then that's what it would need to be a numbers match car. If it was a factory set up the VIN would reflect that. Is the manifold aluminum or cast? Cast would be a Ford piece. Probably somewhere in the cars past it was upgraded to a 4bbl. We used to do that all the time back in the day. Power steering, Radios, AC where all dealer installed options and would not be reflected in the VIN or on the build sheet.
