Default motor trouble in Van

I have a Custom 1986 Ford Van and it was running one day then it just died the next. We have put in a new timing chain, water pump, sensor on the distributor cap, new spark plugs and wires. It ran for about 45 miles and once shut off won't start again. Fuel pumps are also new (dual tanks). Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong. Nothing in manual goes into this. Pulling hair out at this point.
HELP!

It could be the alternator. If the starter wouldn't turn over and the car wouldn't start at all. try to change the alternator
