| Help with paint Hi:
I am attempting to spot paint my 64 ford fairlane. I am using chromabase paint with clear coat. I need the basic steps, ie: Wet sand paint then clear coat then wet sand again and buff ?????? I need help.

| spottin in is tricky but it can be done. depending on how big of a spot is and what color it is.how good is the color match. easiest way would be to use a gray scotch brite and some scuffing agent like ajax. and scuff whole panel. spot in ur base and clear the whole panel. but if u are trying to keep it real small. use some 2000 grit and scuff out around ur repair.give ur self enough room to blend out ur color. then clear out past that. first coat of clear u want it just past the color. then with second coat u go out alittle further. then use some clear coat blender after that. that kinda melts it in so theres not a big paint edge to deal with. ur local dupont jobber will have all ur goodys. |

| sand it with 2000 grit, then paint then sand again then clear coat then sand again, then rub and wax. good luck sir. hope it helps |
