I'm sorry for lack of any real technical terms but if anybody could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello I am a new member with a question that I hope someone can answer.
Error Code was P0302 not p0603 as previously shown
Recently when I tried to start my Contour it failed to start on the first two attempts, on the third attempt I pumped the gas a bit and it started, ran rough for a few minutes then settled down, the check engine light came on once the engine started. I think that when I pumped the gas when starting it then produced an irregular air gas mix that triggered the light to come on.
The plugs and wires are good, the next step I can think of is run fuel injector cleaner through it in case one of the injectors is dirty. Has anyone else encounter this problem and do you think I'm on the correct path to fix it.
I suppose I could disconnect the + battery post to reset the check engine signal and see if it remains off after I reconnect it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ernie Martin
hitchhiker49@hotmail.com

I put in some injectors cleaning solvent into a full tank, pull the battery post and so far the light has not returned or have I had any problem.

I have owned this use contour for almost a year. The horn only works when I press the cruise off button on the steering wheel. So naturally the cruise control doesn't work. This never bothered me until yesterday the horn started going off by itself and the air bag light started blinking. I checked the clock spring and it looks fine. Looking back the car has always had a small battery drain and the abs light stays on. I am not sure if those problems are tied in, just a thought. Any help would be appreciated since I cant connect my battery with out first putting in some ear plugs and pissing off all my neighbors.
Thanks
