Five Hundred Ford Five Hundred looks like just another conservatively styled family sedan. But peel away the Passat-like sheet metal and you will find a well engineered, highly competent chassis, much of it lifted from the Ford-owned Volvo S80. The Five Hundred sedan will be sharing this new Volvo-derived platform with the Ford Freestyle untapped markets.

Default remote start not working??

I just bought 2005 ford five hundred and i am very pleased so far. The only problem i have is on the remote i have a blue button with the picture of a key. From what i read this is supposed to be a remote start. When i press the button the lights just flash and nothing else happens. do you think this is bad or am i doing something wrong????

well light flashing is a good start. it sounds like something in the system is disconected. there are a couple safety switches that keep the starter from working even a flip switch some where. there is one for the hood that if disconnected or broken will keep it from startin. or even something like the tach wire is broken. your best bet is the delarship they will have many answers. somebody here might have some better ideas too.
