Five Hundred Ford Five Hundred looks like just another conservatively styled family sedan. But peel away the Passat-like sheet metal and you will find a well engineered, highly competent chassis, much of it lifted from the Ford-owned Volvo S80. The Five Hundred sedan will be sharing this new Volvo-derived platform with the Ford Freestyle untapped markets.

Default Dealer

You should be able to get that information from a dealer. Just take the car to them and ask them to check it. Mine was on a business sized card that was in with the owner's manual.

Default Owner's manual...

The procedure is in the owner's manual. From page 112:

Programming a personal entry code

Up to three personal entry codes may be programmed to the vehicle. To create your own personal entry code:

1. Enter the factory set code.

2. Within five seconds press the 1 • 2 on the keypad.

3. Enter your personal 5-digit code. Each number must be entered within five
seconds of each other.

4. Press 1 • 2, 3 • 4 or 5 • 6 to indicate which of the three personal entry
code positions you wish to use.

5. The doors will again lock then unlock to confirm that your personal key
code has been programmed to the module.

The factory preset code will work even though you have programmed a new one. If you lose power (e.g., battery goes dead), then only the factory preset code will work and you will have to reprogram a new one.

Take it to a dealer. They should be able to pull that information for you.

Default Key Codes Here

I was trying to find the manufacturers default or original door key code on my 2000 Ford Excursion Limited 7.3 and I was led on a wild goose chase. I was told the they were under the dash. Behind the radio. behind the trash holder. In the jack compartment and left of the steering column. Then the dealer told me that the only way to see them was to remove the dash. Then I stumbled onto a forum and found a guy that had figured it out. He figured out there were only so many combinations for the code and made a program that listed them out for him. He sent me the codes and after replying to a bunch of posts fowarding on the hard-to-find -key-codes I decided to post them for everyone to share and use. So here they are

Explorers in the 90's were behind the panel in the rear cargo area, drivers side near the middle of the side glass.

2 weeks later after pushing buttons you get your door unlocked.
