newbie question

i have kind of a stupid question,i've looked on every used car site that I know of and still haven't found the answer. Did the Aerostar ever come with a low range on 4wd models?I was also wondering if anyone on here has ever done or heard of someone swapping a 5.0 into an aerostar?

No low range on aerostar. It's not an off road system. It's just for better traction in light snow & rain conditions. Great for farmers' wives!
The electronic 4wd is a full time on demand system. As for the engine sway, it might be possible, but if the van's not worth at least $8000, I wouldn't sink money such as a new engine/tranny, into it. Not to mention new PCM, wire harness, tuning, rear end, etc.
