Ford Aerostar Originally conceived as an answer to the first Chrysler minivans, the Aerostar is an old school rear-drive van that's at its best when it's harnessed for hard work. It can haul--and tow--heavier loads than the front-drive crowd, and gets the job done with a fair degree of comfort and style.

Default Retrieving 1993 Aerostar fault codes

Just need some referencing here, I need to know how to retrieve my fault codes from my 93 aerostar and where I can cross reference the codes. It will not start at all to even attempt to diagnose the problem. Everything otherwise seems fine. I have all 3. Fuel, air and spark. Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you know how to do the "wire wiggle test"? I'm not kidding, it's a real test. It can be done with or w/o a scan tool. Let me know and I'll tell you how.

My 95 Aerostar gave me a headache at one time, had fuel, spark, and compression. Since it had no timing mark it couldn't be checked with a light. When I removed the distributor cap I found the rotor button was broken, it was still upright and turned, but the tab was broken so it cought 180 degrees off. This allowed the engine to fire, but at the wrong time. A new rotor button put me back on the road.
Good Luck with this.
