Ford Aspire Measured against other cars in this class, it's reasonably roomy and does have its appeal. It's well-suited for use as a second or third family car, with safety features that take some of the worry out of handing it over to younger drivers. And it's an excellent commuter vehicle - comfortable, durable and cheap to operate.

Default 97 Aspire - airbag light flashes sometimes

Have a '97 Ford Aspire with about 92k miles. Sometimes when turned on the airbag light flashes 3 times, a short pause, then 2 times, then a longer pause. This keeps on repeating. Sometimes when I turn the car on it won't flash.

Anyone know airbag codes? What does the 3/2 flash mean? Maybe my airbag module is faulty, or perhaps needs a charge or something?

I may have found my own answer in this link:
http://autorepair.about.com/library/a/1c/bl281c.htm

""Airbag DTC 32 is: Driver Side Air Bag Circuit High Resistance or Open. This could be caused by something as simple as a loose connection to a bad Airbag Module. Since there is a real danger of unintentional deployment of the Airbag while testing, I would recommend the Dealer handle this one.""

Scroll a little up at this link for more info on code 32:
