Ford BroncoUntil the mid '90s, the Ford Bronco was famous for being a rough-and-tumble off-road vehicle that had been tackling trails and fording streams since the 1960s. It was also one of the first sport-utility vehicles: a versatile truck then described by Ford as being able to serve as a family sedan, sports roadster, snowplow or farm and civil defense vehicle.
I am considering trading in my explorer and my ranger for a 96 EB Bronco with 68,000 on the 5.8 yet i also saw a 95 bronco thats got the 5.0 with over 220,000 on it but i can get a deal on a new 5.0 or should i just go hassle free hopefully and get the 5.8?

Get ready for the 351 boss build this summer, 4v closed chamber heads, 2.25/1.75 valves, .750 lift, 12.5:1 piistons, wieand tunnel ram, nitrous, I think its gonna roar!
5.8 is a good motor, so is the 5.0. The question is what do you wan to do with it, I kinda sum up my decisions by use. The 5.0 high end power, the 5.8 more of a torquer and as capable as the 5.0. Has the 5.0 been rebuilt because if not you may need to rebuild or place before the 5.8 then the cost of the 5.8 will be offset.
Just my opinion though.

Well i think im going to go with the 95 5.0 I looked into it and my neghibor is getting me a deal on a 5.0 for 500$ its 52,079 miles on it out of his grandpas 93 F-150. I kinda want to keep it stock as possible but i am going with bfg A/T tires and maybe a brush guard. I decided to keep the ranger so i dont blow all the money in gas. But i got a little weekend project now. take care guys. and thanks

A simple improvement you can do is to remove the thermactor bumps in the exhaust ports of the heads. Its a fairly quick improvement and will keep the engine very stock appearing.

the 5.8 will have more power, from what I've heard the 5.0's are kind of turds compared to the 5.8 broncos. I have the 5.8 and think the 5.0 is too small for a truck anyways if you wanna do any actual work/towing
