Ford Bronco Until the mid '90s, the Ford Bronco was famous for being a rough-and-tumble off-road vehicle that had been tackling trails and fording streams since the 1960s. It was also one of the first sport-utility vehicles: a versatile truck then described by Ford as being able to serve as a family sedan, sports roadster, snowplow or farm and civil defense vehicle.

Default 85' Bronco II ignition switch

I have a 85' Bronco II. It starts just fine but won't stay running. When I let go of the key it dies. I replace the tumbler to no avail. Any ideas?

Is there a switch on it now? I'm not quite certain what switch you refer to!?

You said you replaced the tumbler (where the key gos in?) if so the ignition switch is on top of the column, pull the shroud, lower the column, and the electric switch is held on with two nuts. that might be it, also have you checked the wires at the solenoid?
a couple of those are fuseable links, see if they look melted.
