Ford Bronco Until the mid '90s, the Ford Bronco was famous for being a rough-and-tumble off-road vehicle that had been tackling trails and fording streams since the 1960s. It was also one of the first sport-utility vehicles: a versatile truck then described by Ford as being able to serve as a family sedan, sports roadster, snowplow or farm and civil defense vehicle.

Default 1989 Bronco wont start

hello,
I have an 89 Bronco with a 302. I have checked for spark and fuel and I have both but it will not fire. I have recently replaced the stator, cap, wires ,and plugs. It ran ok but now it wont start. Any ideas?

With an '89 bronco all you need to pull diagnostic codes from your computer is a 4 inch pice of wire and the ability to count to ten.
HowTo pull OBD 1 codes in your driveway
In this little tutorial, I am not kidding when I say to check for vacuum leaks AND your coolent fluid level.
let us know how you make out.

I have a '90 bronco II and had similar problems....check these things out: solenoid on the fender apron, coil, and the control module in the starter....make sure you check all your wiring as well as it could be old...one thing also that could have caused the problem is the wiring harness....when I changed the valve cover gaskets I pulled the harness out too much so be careful there as well...a little wishful thinking
