Seeking info for NARROWER than stock tire for better snow traction 94 Bronco
Ford BroncoUntil the mid '90s, the Ford Bronco was famous for being a rough-and-tumble off-road vehicle that had been tackling trails and fording streams since the 1960s. It was also one of the first sport-utility vehicles: a versatile truck then described by Ford as being able to serve as a family sedan, sports roadster, snowplow or farm and civil defense vehicle.
Seeking info for NARROWER than stock tire for better snow traction 94 Bronco
I currently have BF Goodrich 31x10.5-15 tires with 15k miles on stock aluminum wheels. This tire/wheel combo yields poor traction in snow while in rear-wheel drive (the front drive system is inoperable and I don't have time/money to repair).
Does anyone have knowledge of a tire size that is NARROWER than the above-mentioned stock tire that will fit the wheels, or perhaps a suggestion for a different wheel/tire combination that will fit the vehicle? I am not concerned about appearance, just better traction.
I've noticed most Ford plow trucks in my area have a high and narrow tire.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Pete
