Well, I got it put back together today.
I think I know why the last head job failed, it looks like they put the head gaskets on backwards. Then the heads didn't recieve enough coolant, got way to hot, and then cracked.
I put the dynomax headers on. They fit fairly tight. I plan to put full dynomax exhaust on this truck, but right now, I put turn downs on right after the headers.
I removed the automatic choke, the heat tube from the intake was broken in half, and I plan on putting a 4160 on this motor soon. I then removed the choke plate and the idle air control motor. The air conditioning compresser is missing and I probably won't be able to get the air back in working condition. With the choke plate missing, the engine is idling slightly lean, due to the missing restriction of the choke plate. I'll adjust the idle mixture soon, and maybe play with adjusting the accelerator pump. Otherwise the engine runs fairly smooth.
Next on the list is redoing the power steering pump brackets and cleaning up under the hood.
