Ford Bronco Until the mid '90s, the Ford Bronco was famous for being a rough-and-tumble off-road vehicle that had been tackling trails and fording streams since the 1960s. It was also one of the first sport-utility vehicles: a versatile truck then described by Ford as being able to serve as a family sedan, sports roadster, snowplow or farm and civil defense vehicle.

Red face Fuel line to Filter connection

Hello All.
New not only to the site. I had not done more than put gas in my truck untill a few weeks ago. Added a 1993 Bronco to the family. I was told to just pull the fuel filter out of the line to replace. After much frustration I did get it out. Only to find out I need to use a tool. How do I know if I damaged the not so quick-connect line fittings?

You could do a visual check to see if those garter springs are deformed. If you are really worried, you could call the dealer and see if they sell those garter springs. If you get new springs, make a little hook out of a wire to pull the old springs out, than put the new ones in.
Otherwise just push the new filter in there until it clicks, put the safety clip on, and turn the ignition to "RUN" and OFF a few times to build up fuel pressure (you don't need to start it), than check for leaks.

Question Fuel filter connection

Thanks for the ideas. Im not sure how hard it is supposed to be, but i cant seem to get it to go in. I also noticed one of the lip things broke off inside the coupler (from old filter). Looked inside some of the metal figer looking things go toward line some out?? Do I need new ones? How?
