Ford Bronco Until the mid '90s, the Ford Bronco was famous for being a rough-and-tumble off-road vehicle that had been tackling trails and fording streams since the 1960s. It was also one of the first sport-utility vehicles: a versatile truck then described by Ford as being able to serve as a family sedan, sports roadster, snowplow or farm and civil defense vehicle.

Default Bronco II Fix-up

I just bought a 1988 Ford Bronco II XLT 2WD and it needs a lot of work. Up until 2 days ago, it had not been started in over 6 years. It won't go over 45 mph for various reasons (carbon build-up, sludge, etc.). One of the main reasons for this problem is a loose distributor because of the distributor hold down piece and I can't find where it needs to go because of the whole fuel injection assembly. Is there anyway to get the distributor out to service it without removing the fuel injection system? Any tips about making the engine better while I'm restoring it?
