Ford Bronco Until the mid '90s, the Ford Bronco was famous for being a rough-and-tumble off-road vehicle that had been tackling trails and fording streams since the 1960s. It was also one of the first sport-utility vehicles: a versatile truck then described by Ford as being able to serve as a family sedan, sports roadster, snowplow or farm and civil defense vehicle.

Unhappy 1990 Ford Bronco ABS Light/Sensor staying on...

Could some one please tell me what would cause the rear anti lock brake sensor light to stay on? I checked the brake fluid and it wasn't low but, I added some anyway. It's still on. I took it to Pepboys and they scheduled an appt. took it there and they said the brake test wouldn't tell me why my sensor is staying on. Please help. Thanks in advance to all.

I agree with phantom_smack,
RABS sensor. Costs about $20, it is a one bolt install and requires no adjustment.

Replacing the sensor cured the problem on My '89 Ranger.

I dont know why Pepboys would tell you that. They should have the latest ABS scanners out there since they do work on cars.

FYI a regular engine computer scanner will not show ABS codes, you need a separate scanner for ABS.
