| 1966 Ford LTD Coupe - One Owner - All Original For Sale is a '66 LTD 2-Door Coupe, which is the very first year for the LTD model as described in this WikiCars article: Ford LTD - Wikicars Quote: | "Ford introduced the full-sized LTD in 1965 as a top-of-the-line Galaxie 500. In fact, in 1965 the car was known as the Galaxie LTD - it wasn't until 1966 that the LTD became a model of its own apart from the Galaxie. The LTD sedan would have a slightly more formal rear roofline than the Galaxie and Custom models, a trait that would continue until the 1973 model year."
| We have all of the original paperwork that came with the car, which is important to car collectors. This car has Antique plates on it from the state of Mississippi.
Overall, this car is in very good condition for being 42 years old. We bought this car brand new in 1966 and it has been parked under our garage it's entire life, so there is very little rust anywhere.
It has the original 289-c.i. 2-barrel motor, automatic transmission (3 forward speeds) , rims and hubcaps. The tires are in good shape. I just replaced the timing chain cover, the water pump, thermostat, all hoses, and the fan in mid-March '08. It has power steering, manual brakes, manual windows, and the air conditioning compressor turns, but it is low on freon. The blower fan also works, but it makes noise due to lack of use.
The metal ID tag on the driver door has these numbers:
6A67C277049
63F 92 26G 634305 1 7
The body is in good shape with only a few small defects. The paint job is a factory special order in the Thunderbird color 'Silver Mink'. It was repainted the same color a few years ago, and still looks very good.
This car has never been in a major accident, but it does have one small dent in front of the right tail light (which is in perfect condition) from backing into something. The right corner of the chrome bumper also has a dent in it from the same backing accident. There are two other small imperfections on the right side of the body, and none on the left. The trunk, roof, and hood are all straight.
The under carriage and floor boards are in good shape with only a thin layer of surface rust in spots, and no rust through. The floor of the trunk has one small spot the size of a dime where it has rusted through, but is in overall very good condition. The door frames, hood frame, and trunk frame are free of rust.
The headliner has two small holes in it. The top of the dashboard is cracked, and I'm having a hard time getting a replacement. Other than that the car runs great, all of the lights and blinkers work, the horn works, the windows work, the seats have been re-covered and the carpet is in good shape.
The car is located in northern Mississippi just south of Memphis, TN. If you'd like to take a look at it, just let me know and we can make an appointment any day of the week. My cell phone number is 901-359-5741 and my name is Tom.
I'm asking $5500.00 or best offer for this car. The winning bidder is responsible for picking up the vehicle from our home, and transporting it to it's destination.
Here are some photos of the vehicle and the paperwork:

Reason: lowered the selling price...
