The Comet was initially built atop a Ford Falcon frame that was stretched and became Mercury's intermediate/compact entry vehicle. With a 114 inch wheelbase many thought it would be considered an intermediate, but Mercury classified it as a compact.
I have a 64 Comet Caliente Rolling chassis. I have the AFX hood and bumpers to go with it The floor boards are in good shape and the car is very straight. It has some slight cancer on the rear wheel well lips, but other than that thats it. I have two grills for the car and all of the stainless is in good shape. Car needs to be restored, no interior, .
