Ford Contour Ford Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.

Default temperature gauge not working on 98 contour

Hello everyone(once again),

For a long time now, the temp gauge has not worked. Every once in awhile the fan will kick on, etc but nothing shows on my temp gauge. Once in a great great while the temp gauge will work shortly, then not at all. Mostly only if i go on a 200 mile + trip. I took a multimeter and tried testing the wires for any voltage, etc and there was nothing. Any ideas on what more i should look for?

Thanks in advance

nevermind, i was testing the wrong sensor. I found the right one and my sensor is bad. I was testing the sensor that went to the computer, not the sensor that went to the dash!
