Cold weather driving and other problems

I've noticed with my '96 GL when it gets cold outside it takes forever to get up to speed. It seems like it's not responding to the throttle and it's pulling 10,000 pounds. Two winters in a row I ripped the serpentine belt and or the timing chain trying to get up to speed.

Now when I get up in higher RPMs it jerks hard and throttle in not responsive, this is not the TRS I have that problem too.

Any insight would be appreciated.

So I've figured out that the latter problem is the plug that goes above the sparkplug keeps popping out when I hit high RPMs. My grandfather just replaced them and all of the wiring in the engine. He was an electrician for 35+ years I know he wired it right.

Cool, thanks for the heads up so others will learn. I hope he use a little Dielectric grease on the boots!
