Stuck Throttle 99 SVT

'99 Contour SVT, 150000 miles, over the past year, the throttle will stick intermittently. The problem will last for an entire commute, then be gone for the drive home, or it will last for days at a time. Unfortunately, it has never stuck in front of my mechanic!

My general mechanic has tried numerous fixes when I have brought it in for regular service, mostly blaming on a vacuum leak. Replaced numerous valves, replaced the throttle cable (based on a recall) twice, most recently replaced something like a "throttle control valve", something to that effect, still no help.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

I would have to check side to side movement of the throttle plate at part throttle.The throttle body may have to much play and stick especially if it is carboned up(dirty).
