2.5 rod bearings

does anyone had tor up rod bearings?????
my 98 2.5 ate up the first cylinder rod bearing to the point that there were only shavings left. does anyone else had that problem with that engine????

It's been known to happen. Also, the 2.5 is known to have oil starvation issues due to the design of the oil pan, long sweeping, high rpm right turns can cause a failure pretty quickly.

Yep, it's a fairly common issue.
Are you going to do a 3L swap or just fix your 2.5?

If you fix it, run 6 1/2 quarts of oil as it will help with, but not eliminate, the oil starvation issue.

An Accusump Oil Accumulator will solve the oil starvation issue, it costs about $380.
