Ford Contour Ford Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.

Default can't get gas in tank?

I have never had a problem like this before, and its a pain in the butt. it takes 5 mins to get one gallon of gas in my 98. Its like something is in the filler tube. I took a stiff hose and shoved down the filler tube into the tank, in hopes that it would uncloge something, after I did that I was able to put gas in it. BUT I have to do this ever time I fill up, it will not let me put gas in it untill I stick that hose in first. What the _ _ _ is going on with that??

It sounds like the butterfly valve is sticking it is located where th rubber hose meets the tank. There is also a chance that the canister vent valve or hose is stopped up.
