96 Contour auto shifts at high RPM

Hello

I have a 96 4cyl contour that has a few problems. When starting off the car will not shift before 4k rpm. The tranny seems to shift just fine otherwise. I see a lot of problems with this transmission posted. The OD light and check engine lights are fine. The only other problem with the car that may or may not be related is a vibration when in gear and completely stopped. If you put the car in neutral or start driving the problem goes away. As far as the transmission goes, aside from it shifting so high, it seems solid. It doesn't slip or miss gears. It doesn't even seem to shift too hard even at 4k rpms. Does anyone have any ideas? I am new here since I just picked up the car.
