Ford ContourFord Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.
My Ford died and decided it didn't want to start back up. It was sitting for four hours (75 degrees) and when I drove it about two blocks it died. I tried to start it back up, but it would not start. It tries to turnover and the interior and headlights come on, but just won't start. Yes, I put more gas in just in case. Has anyone had this problem? I'm checking the fuses now, but would appreciate any help. Thanks, Lynda
I have the same exact problem. My 99' Contour will not start, and after several procedures: Replacing the fuel pump, checking plugs, fuses.. It still will not start. If anyone can tell me a possible solution it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've had a similar problem in the past -- bad battery. A towing company employee shared that this is common. Got a new battery, popped it in, and she started.
Hi, This post is very informative, however I would like some specific information. If someone can help me then please send me a private message. Best Regards,

There is a red reset button on the driver's side kick panel. If the button is up...it shuts of the fuel and you will need to push it down. I am looking for the fuel pump location. Ang
