Ford Contour Ford Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.

Default help my car keeps jumping

ok i have a 2000 ford contour and i already had a tune up this year and i put bars leak in where the anti-freeze goes ok so that turned it brown and thats normal. ok i brought fuel injection cleaner to see if that would help with my car jumping and it does it while im driving down the road. ok i took it to a guy at my local auto zone and he said it was showing a miss fire on his computer. ok what should i do then cuz i have new plugs and stuff and i dont know why its jumping and yes my engine stays on but the man there at auto zone got it to go off. so please help me to solve this matter. thanks

Bars leak goes in the radiator, not the coolant reservoir, it will not do anything sitting there.

What kind of plugs you put in, were they stock or the fancy diamond tip gold plated with bling bling type of plug?

Were any of the plugs wet on the outside around the sparkplug boot area?

You might have a bad coil pack if the plugs were dry and you put OEM stock plugs back in. You will need to see what cylinder is misfiring.

Like markv said, coilpack could be suspect, also it might be worth replacing the plug wires, my 95 did something similar, turned out to be a bad wire (tiny non-visible crack).
