I am in a righteously ridiculous situation!!

So my mom and I were driving my 99 CSVT to the store today and the car seemed to be doing ok. Well my mom had told me that the first time she drove it, it stalled on her without her doing anything. Well it did it again today except while it was running, my mom simply geared down into second gear and then stopped and when she took it out of gear, the car just shut off (stalled with her foot still pushing the clutch all the way down). I cant put it any other way. Does anyone what the heck is wrong here? This is the first time this car has been officially out on the road in my ownership since i had to garage it bc the tags were out!! I NEED SOME HELP HERE!! I dont want to give this car up, I love it. The problems now are starting to become unbearable and I HAVE NO MONEY OR JOB TO FIX THIS THING!!!

well im thinking either there is a hole in your exhaust or there is a loose wire, when i drove my 97 se contour during rain i would lose power after hitting a big puddle because of some exposed wires causing it to short circuit. not 100% sure but could be one of those problems

Is the check engine light on?

Most auto part stores will pull the computer codes for free.

nope the check engine light is not on. im thinking its the speed sensors but im not sure. the tranny shifts fine but with a small grinding sound when it goes into 3rd and i think 5th but thats about it.
