Ford Contour Ford Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.

Default Tire won't come off 1995 Ford Contour

On my 1995 Ford Contour the rear driver's side tire is flat. I removed all 4 lug nuts but it will not come off. Is there a trick to this?

I don't know if there is a trick or if this is a common problem, but last week or so, I did a brake job on my daughter's toyota highlander, and I had to use a wheel puller to get the tire off!
I never heard of that before!

I had a similar problem and tapped the wheel with a hammer, it seemed to be
rusted on, it did come off.

Note I am not a professional mechanic.

I have the same problem with my 98 toyota avalon. Everytime I have to remove one of the wheels I have to rock it side to side and have even had to use my feet from the back side to get it off.
