Ford Contour Ford Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.

Default catalytic converter problems

My converter has been plugged for awhile now. and the engine code keeps coming up. the converter is attached to a resonator and pipe. which means the whole thing needs to be replaced which costs $300 just for that pipe. can you jus clean it out somehow or do you really need to replace that whole pipe?

Who says the converter is "plugged" ? If it was truly "plugged" your engine probably would not run at all.

What are the exact error code number you are getting?
