Ford Contour Ford Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.

Question 98 ford contour se v6 2.5l over heating problem

i just bought this car from my uncle. alot of work has been done to it the tranny went out in 05 and it has been sitting up since then at his shop until i bought it.
i put a rebuilt tranny in it and now it runs great except for it over heating. almost everthing has been replace on it that has to do with the cooling. the first person who put in the tranny cracked th radiatior so i think it got a new one or a used new one im not sure. its has a new thermostat and a new water pump but it still over heats.
fans only come on with the ac on that i have seen and the driver side fan only runs on low speed. it doesnt even come on with the low speed relay out but the passengers side does. m thinking a relay swith is one of the problems but what about the only coming on with the ac?
some of the problems im thinking is i need new fans or maybe something is clogged.
i need some help im drained of ideas and cash because of this
any help would be greatly appreciated
