Ford Contour Ford Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.

Default 98' Contour - Transmission Mount

Ok, so I noticed one of the mounts must be bad for my engine/trans. I shook car back and forth and there was a lot of engine movement, and made a clicking sound. I also tested by running engine in drive and reverse.

I pinpointed the sound by getting under the car as I shook it back and forth, I noticed the back of the transmission was moving up and down a bit, and that there was NO mount there (must have fallen out or something, very strange). I was originally thinking this was an engine mount.

Can anyone send me a picture from under the car of the back of their transmission/transmission mount so i can see what exactly I need to get when I go to buy one.

Looks like there are 4+ holes, with 1-2 of them elongated that are on the frame, and than one big bolt hole on the back of the transmission.

Thanks
