Ford Contour Ford Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.

VB is acting up, so if you click on the links or copy and paste em in your browser you can see the pictures, the TRS should like these, usually located on the top of the transmission.

sorry should of been more specific,i need a pic if someone has one of the engine bay(im assuming were going in from the top).because my obd scan said its due to a failure of the TRS itself or its short circut. so im guessing ill have to check the wires going to the TRS to see if its grounded out or replace the whole thing and the wire harnnes. i want to do it myself cause i dont have any cash.the less tools i have to buy the better.

pop the hood and take a look, surely you can find it,

Check out autozone's website, they have free online repair manuals for most models.

alright today i got a chance to get into it i got to the TRS easy enough i seen that my wire harness was broken and it was half off witch fixed the problem ,i started it up and it sounded brand new i went for a test drive it went through the gears fine the CEL was off and everything was fine then i go to bring my boy home and it stuttered and stalled,i dont know what to do i can think of only a few things
1.fuel injectors
2.grounding out again somewhere else
3.fuel pump
4.TRS is junk and it shut down to keep me from damaging gears
i dont claim to be a mechanic and this is my 1st car im not havin to much of a good experience since ive already reaplaced in a year 4 tires twice, stater, altanater and the battery, the bolts that hold on my tires are snapping off, exhaust pipe and now this BS any advise is welcome.

Don't forget to check for vaccum leaks and fouled plugs.

A vaccum line could be leaking, causing the engine to get more air than fuel and run lean or misfire. If you spray just a little throttle body cleaner in the engine while its idling usually the engine will speed up if a vaccum leak is present. Many times you can hear the hissing noise too.

ok but my car isnt even turnning over, and i called the closest repair shop and the first words were ,the TRS is inside the tranny,so i can see im only going to loose more money goin there.so one probem is,the rod directly above the TRS is keeping me from removing it,i cant get i wrench to turn in there. i dont want to break it, since im looking through the wires for a ground out i was woundering how far into the car do the TRS wires go and what are they connected to alot of it seems to be connected to the starter,i just had a new one put inso im trying not to pull wires out by accident.
