Ford Contour Ford Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.

the amp on these cars is external for a reason. the head unit used for this setup does not have an internal amplifier. what you need to do is go to autozone or kragen and buy the wiring harness adapters for ford vehicles with premium sound. these kits cost around $15 and will contain two adapters for the head unit and a two headed harness/jumper for the amp. this will allow you to maintain the factory wiring and make it possible to hear sound from your new head unit. this is assuming that the wiring in the dash has not been modified. if it has, the harness adapter kit will not work correctly until the factory wiring has been repaired.
