Ford Contour Ford Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.

Question Transmission Fluid Gushing Out Dipstick Tube

I have a situation. I just change my pcv valve, thermostat, oil and oil filter, valve cover gasket, spark plug, and radiator water. After doing all that on the same day which took about 5 hours. Oh yeah, I also clean the throttle. Once I started the car the transmission fluid started gushing out where the transmission dipstick is. I did not touch anything that had to with the transmission and I wonder why it was doing this. I check everything and found nothing. I lost about 2 quart of transmission fluid. The anti freeze nor transmission show any sign of fluid or water mixer. Does anyone know that may have happen and how to fix it?
It is a 1999 Ford Contour 4 cyl, 2.0 L

You could have a leak in your radiator. These cars have the trans cooler built into the radiator. My guess is you have a leak internally. I would suggest checked the trans fluid out for water in it and antifreeze. Same with the coolant for transfluid.

If it is gushing out of the bottom of the distick, the rubber seal may have worn out.
