Ford Contour Ford Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.

Exclamation 1995 overdrive indicator for contour

I just bought a 1995 ford contour in very good shape so i thought. I have had the car a few days. It ran great the first couple of days. Now the transmission seems to slip a little from drive to 2nd. When i drive the car in secondad it's fine. btw it's automatic. Now it seems when i press the overdrive indicator buttion it shifts smoother. Is there some kind of sensor on the transmission that could be faulty? I had posted yesterday but now i think i am a little more clearer in this post. when that button seemed off it slipped more. Now it seems to shift better when it changes gears. Any suggetions would help. I am planning on bringing it a tranmission specialist but there is only one here where i live and i have been told not to bing this car or any car there. The closest one is 30 mins from here but don't think I should drive it there.
