Ford Contour Ford Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.

Question 98 contour intermidate stalling
my car will run and all of a sudden it will stall the oil light and check engine light and i will lose steering and it will stall simultaneously without any warning replaced the fuel filter and still no change


can anyone help me

can anyone help me
i had a cilent in the past with same problem we had to replace the engine wiring harness. look at you'r wiring harness if it's crack and you can see wire you may need to replace .

Also check your IAC valve. Pull that off, spray some carb cleaner in there and put it back on.

kdog0719-Did you ever figure out the stalling problem. I have a 1998 Ford Contour and I'm having the same problem. The fuel filter was replaced with no change.
