Ford Contour Ford Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.

Lightbulb Wont start
I have a 2000 Ford Contour with 166,000 miles and it will not start. I put gasoline in the tank but for some odd reason the engine wont turn. I weighed my option when it came to the fuel pump, it seems to be working fine. Is there any other option. Please help!@!

Battery dead? battery cables need to be cleaned? And before you go saying its the fuel pump check the fuel filter.

not turning over would indicate a weak battery, which COULD be a result of a failed alternator.
However, if it still has the original 2000 battery it has lived a long life and needs to be replaced - alt may be fine.

Edit: Oops -- june 1, I guess I can let this one go
