Ford ContourFord Contour combines sporty driving dynamics with the comfort and practicality of a four-door sedan. It doesn't have the rear-seat space of a Taurus, but Ford improved rear legroom and revised the styling. Contour SVT pours on the coal with a higher output version of the Duratec V6, a sports suspension and bigger brakes.
I need some advice on buying one.. my contour svt has about 120,000 miles on it. I think its time for a new clutch. Can anyone tell me which one to get and where to purchase it. Thanks!
I've done an OEM repalcement and a Spec clutch (aftermarket). Personally I 'd go with the OEM. They're good units. Contact Bill J. at Team Ford Parts and he gives great discounts on all sorts of Contour stuff. Even at 120,000 miles if it isn't slipping then I wouldn't bother changing it. I put 201,000 miles on a Mystique with the original clutch. It all depends on how it was driven.
