Ford CreditWhen buying or leasing a new car, many of us will be introduced to "Ford Credit". This is the internal credit agency for the Ford motor company. Post any questions you may have about the Ford credit process. Comments, concerts, problems should all go here.
Hey buddy,
I agree with you and I let them do their talk but I just filter it and file it under immediate bullshit or okay that's a good point / feature I did not know. I know they have to make a living but like you I don't need them to make it all on me!! Camper places are a real joke, a few m/c shops I have visited is usually a toss up, either they are all over you or completely ignore you.
I have decided no more new cars for me, when it comes time to replace the 99 Expy, I will look at Carmax and I also have a couple of friends that hit the auto auctions here in the Carolina's. On a happy note, took the XV750 out of the garage and got her all cleaned up and ready to go. Man I love these bikes.
one time i walked out of a ford dealer. i was with my girlfriend and was starving. I smelled popcorn on the way in. as soon as i found out it was stale, i asked for the dude's business card and left.
i dont remember what i ate afterwards, but moral of the story, Ford needs to A. have better popcorn B. Offer starbucks like other dealers (nissan does) or C. offer the free hot dogs/cokes/kids bbq day again.
i doubt it will happen, but who knows.

I just hate the fact that salesmen think that you are the dumbest thing that ever lived. When I was buying my 08 Escape, I was talking prices after about 15 min of not getting him to tell me if he agreed on the price. I told him that this was the last chance he had to tell me the bottom line price on the Escape as I was getting up from the table he said ok ok it is this price. I told him that I was going to go home and talk about it with my wife (I not being married). He turned to me and said why dont I take the truck home and pick up my wife and bring her back? I said no I am going home to talk about it. He truned to me and said is it worth another 100.00 off the price to go and get her and bring her back? I turned to him and said guess what, I told you, you only get one chance to give your rock bottom price, now you lied and now you lost the sale. He looked at me like I just killed his dog. It was great! He called my house 5 times to try to talk about it and try to sell me the Escape.
agreed. basically the way i see it, they lie to me i lie to them. i test drove a cobra back in 2003 when the new SVT came out that year. i went dressed in a suit, tie clip, money clip, personalized engraved pen, all decked out. they guy sees $$$$.
we bs, the whole hello thing. he asked me what i did for a living. i told him i was working for the "attorney general's office", and that i needed a "new" daily driver. i work in the fruad/legal disputes department.
funny how after the test drive i could get it below invoice (and that the dealer would gladly take care of oil changes and such for the first few times).
i didnt' buy it, but yeah... i hate how they're sleazy.
so its only fair to try and sleaze back to get the best deal!

Another thing that kills me is the sheer lies and bullcrap they often spew. I just don't let it stand. They might be able to pass that off on someone else, but I let them know quickly that I'm no dummy.
"This car was previously owned by a master mechanic at one of our other dealers. He just traded it in for this years model."
I think I hear that one EVERY TIME I shop for a car at atleast one of the dealers I visit.
