Ford Crown VictoriaThough they were what most people drove in the 1950s and 1960s, full-size cars like the Ford Crown Victoria are now an anomaly. But Ford's biggest sedan still offers significant virtues, including affordable V8 performance and room for six people. Today, the Crown Victoria's passenger and cargo volumes compare favorably against fashionable SUVs.
No, not sure how but a couple of days ago I pumped the pedal and it seemed like it caught briefly for a second but that was all. Tried again tonight with and without pumping pedal and nothing, just turning over.
Pull one of the plug wires and put a spare spark plug in it. Make sure the plug is grounded and then have a helper crank over the engine while you look for a blue or white spark.
If you have ignition OK, then you will need to check the fuel system. You can prime the fuel system by repeatedly turning ignition on and off for 10 seconds at a time (do it about 5 times). A weak pump will build extra pressure this way. If this does not help then check fuel system.
When you turn the ignition on the pump should run for a few seconds. You may not hear it from inside the car, so have someone near the fuel tank listen while you switch ignition on. Should hear a whirring noise, if not then fuel pump or connections are faulty or inertia switch is tripped. Check the inertia switch in trunk, it switches the fuel pump off if it thinks you have been in an accident, but a slight bump can trigger it. Make sure reset button is pressed down. Check the connection for power, if so then check at the tank; 4 wires, two for pump (power and ground) and two for sender power and return. Pump is usually pink and black and heavier wire.
If fuel pump runs check fuel pressure at the rail schrader valve, after removing the cap. Cover the valve with a towel and depress the center wire carefully since 40 psi will drive fuel through the skin. If no fuel then replace the filter.
If all seems OK then you can check that the injectors are firing by putting a screwdriver on one and listening for the click each time it fires.
Hope this helps.

I kinda have the same problem, If you find out what it is, let me know!
From my other post:
I have a 1994 Crown Vic that overheated and stopped running (girlfriend's son was driving it). It seems to have compression, spark to the plugs, the injectors are pulsing and rail pressure is good. The timing chains are not broke and none of the valves are stuck, but it still won't fire. I've kinda ruled out the computer due to the fact it is letting the ignition fire and fuel get to the intake manifold. I due have trace amounts of coolant in two of the cyl.s on the left bank, but I would think it should still fire! Any suggestions? Please! At this point I just want to what happened.
